Upset at the $600,000 that the city is being asked to pay to the state’s school fund, Rep. James H. Brennan (D) files a bill that would allow creation of the separate State of Boston, which would also include Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop. According to Michael Trinklein, “there is no record of anyone else in the Legislature endorsing Brennan’s plan.”
